The Salon Wellness Coalition unites community advocates, hair salon workers, salon owners, and researchers from Maryland to improve public health by focusing on the wellness of hair salon workers and the communities they serve. Our mission is to promote wellness in vulnerable and underserved populations, involvement in collaborative women’s health research to inform inclusive public health policies. By transforming salons into hubs for health education and promotion, we aim to share resources to holistically address health and overall wellness. Our work is about equity, empowerment, and building healthier communities.

Our Coalition aims to break down barriers, amplify voices and create pathways to health and success.
